The Ohio Recreational Therapy Association (ORTA) is a chapter affiliate of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) representing and advocating for CTRSs throughout the state of Ohio. By obtaining and maintaining an ORTA membership you are connected to a knowledgeable network of clinicians, educators and students working together advancing the field of recreational therapy.

Join us

  • Recreational Therapist Professional - Individual currently working in the field of recreational therapy. Holds CTRS credential.  $20/year
  • Non-Recreational Therapist Professional - Individual working in a non-recreational therapy field or does not hold CTRS credential. $15/year
  • New Grad/First Year Professional - Individual who graduated from a recreation therapy program up to one year prior to application and working in the field of recreational therapy. Holds CTRS credential or eligible to sit for exam. $15/year
  • Retired Emeritus - Individual who is retired after a lifetime career in the Recreational Therapy profession and still wish to support the field and be active in the chapter. $10/year
  • Student - Full-time students enrolled in recreational therapy undergraduate or graduate program. Individuals applying for this membership must register using your .edu email address. You will be asked to provide proof of full-time academic status in a recreational therapy program and your account will be on hold until this proof is submitted. Please note that if you make an online payment but do not qualify for student membership, you will be issued a refund. $10/year
