The Ohio Recreational Therapy Association (ORTA) is a 501(c)6 established in 2017 in order to promote the health and well-being of the public through service, education, research, and the development and enforcement of standards within the field of Recreational Therapy.
We have been conducting membership drives at a variety of events throughout the state including the University of Toledo Recreational Therapy Conference in the spring and The Nationwide Children's Hospital TR Fall Conference in October of 2017. Members of the board were able to attend and present at the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance in November.
While our chapter is new, we have a diverse and dedicated membership that have played an invaluable role getting us to where we are today. We invite you to come be part of the family! Please visit our membership page for application information.
